The Crash

I wasn't sure where I was heading, I only knew that I had to get away from that place. As I hurried past those strangers, I broke into a sprint. I felt a sharp pang in between my breasts and felt the warm trickle of tears flowing down my cheeks. From the blurry view, through my tear filled eyes, I vaguely saw a huge object apparate in front of me. I couldn't stop myself, I was moving too fast.

CRASH!

I hit the huge tree and fell flat on my back. The pain arising out of my broken nose was nowhere near to the pain emerging from my broken heart. I wasn't able to hold it in much longer. I screamed, at the top of my lungs.
Once, twice, thrice soon my howls of pain turned into sobs. As if empathizing with my pain, the heavens opened up and the rain started to pour down on me. I must have looked crazy to the people passing by me as I lay there on the street crying in the rain. I didn't care. The worst had happened. Right now, I need this. I need to cry out loud until all my pain gets washed out with my tears.
I have to stand back up again. These past five years are only memories now but I still have the future. If I don't let this pain wash out now, I may never have a future.

I laid there, for some more time, although it felt like an eternity. When I finally regained my strength and the pain had left me completely, I stood up. I looked up, towards the sky, the rain was pouring down really hard. I closed my eyes, thanked him for the memories, wished for the best and opened my eyes again. Then I started walking, towards my future.

The Pain

I used to call him "Dad" before all of this began. Now, that word simply refuses to come out of my mouth. I've been slapped, had burning coffee thrown over me, punched, locked up in my room for weeks. But none of them compared to what he did to me today.  As usual, he came home drunk. But unlike other days, today he barged into my room directly. It scared me to death. The look in his eyes told me, I'll have to go through hell again today. He came towards me, grabbed me by my hair and threw me onto the bed. That's when I realized what is about to happen to me. I tried to beg, he wouldn't listen. There was this strange grin on his face and the smell of alcohol. He ripped out my clothes, I started to fight. I couldn't though, he was too strong. He always was. What followed next was 15 minutes of horror. All I can remember is the pain and the smell of alcohol. The pain emanating from my lower body was immense, but I couldn't groan. I was in a sho...

The Pizza Place

This is where I met him the first time, this restaurant. I love pizza or rather I love the pizza from this place. I love it so much that, it's my routine to come down here every Friday night, grab my favorite cheese and pepperoni pizza and sit at the table by the window facing the street. On that day though, as I went to the table, I noticed him sitting at my usual table, He had half eaten his pizza, so I thought I would wait for him to finish by sitting at the neighboring table. As I sat there and waited for him to finish his pizza, I noticed he was eerily similar to me. Although his choice of pizza didn't suit my taste, he would just sit there, watch the street through the window as he slowly enjoyed his pizza. Even though I finished my delicious pizza, he never left the table. So I went home rather disappointed that day. The same thing continued for the next few weeks though, I would get my pizza, go by my favorite table, see him there and would wait for him to vacate....
